Surgery day

Woke up this morning with a weird sense of feeling in my tummy. I usually never wake up before the alarm clock unless someone is shaking me awake with something important. But today I woke up a full hour before the alarm went off. Was pointless squirming around in the bed trying to get back to sleep on a day like this.
It’s a rather minor surgery that is a little complex to do. Mortality rate is less than 0.5% based on a worldwide study, on the hospital I’m having the surgery, the surgeon told me it’s less than 0.1%. But any type of surgery involving narcosis has some sort of mortality rate. Bah, I’m just rambling. FOCUS! I’m pretty sure everything will be alright, and I should be home again by Friday or Saturday.

Sitting here at the kitchen table, writing this post on my laptop. I cant eat or drink anything until after the operation is done, so I’m a bit cranky when I cant have my morning coffee. The newspaper hasn’t arrived yet either, and it usually is here before 6am. I took a brief look out the window and from seeing all the snow, it might be the reason why its late. Took a picture of the scenery too, kinda nice quiet morning. People are barly stirring this morning, and I understand them, its frigging cold outside!  -11C!

Got a mail from a good friend yesterday as well, asking for my snailmail address to send me a xmas postcard, which was sweet. And glad she did as well, cause I had totally forgotten about the cards this year. Going to check around for some decent xmas cards today or in the beginning of next week after the surgery. Now I just need to find my address notebook as well, since I dont have all the snailmail addresses in my mobileme contact list.
If there are any more of my blogger friends out there who want me to send them a xmas card, please make a comment here and remember to use my contact form to send me your snailmail address. And hopefully I’ll manage to get them all sent so the arrive before xmas eve.

Well then, I think I got most of my thoughts written down, and the feeling in my tummy is much better (still wish I could have that coffee!). Time for a shower then check my packed things, oh, and I must remember to bring some of my book so I have something to read. Shandril’s Saga and The Avatar Series should be enough I think. Long time since I’ve read those books.
