Stupid glasses
I’m starting to getting pretty annoyed over the fact that I have to use glasses. The fact that I can’t really see without my glasses or lenses makes me a little bit handicapped. And if they break, goddamn expensive they are to fix.
It all begun on one of the last days of my vacation. I was coming out of a nice cold shower (damn it was hot that day!), was drying myself with a towel and doing the usual stuff I do in the bathroom after a shower. This day, for some reason, I had managed to put my glasses on the very end of the table in the bathroom, just by the edge. And for some reason I managed to drop the stupid glasses on the stone tile floor, smashing both glasses. DAMN. I was so mad at myself for being so stupid. My glasses cost a lot, so I tend to be very carefully with them.
But after a few days being annoyed, I thought it would be nice to actually get a new pair, since its 6 years since I bought these.
The happy thoughts existed until I got to the shop and heard their prices. I told the cute looking lady behind the desk that I just wanted the glasses fixed instead of buying a new frame in addition. I wished….. It seems like the type of frame I have has gone out of production, so spare parts is impossible to get a hold of. Well…. ok then, the frames cant be that expensive…
Total cost for new glasses + frame ended up in 4500 NOK (750 USD approx). There goes the rest of my vacation money… =/
